It's important to stay true to who you are as an artist. It is even more important for Ricardo Rodriguez to make sure that his culture and personality can come through in all aspects of life and art.
My first documentary. This was a very special project for me to work on. Working over the span of a weekend with one of my friends, Ricky, to bring his story to life was challenging and so rewarding. It was important to show the influence of his Puerto Rican heritage on Ricky's work and process. Currently undergoing re-edits.

A poetic documentary for my environmental filmmaking class. This short film was created within 8 hours. I drove to Tybee Island to shoot the sunrise and it turned into a study of seagull culture on the beach. Fun exploration in different ways to film. Shot on iPhone.
